CouRageJD Joins Fortnite’s Icon Series with Sidekick Louis

Content creator Jack “CouRageJD” Dunlop has officially confirmed his long-awaited collaboration with Fortnite, becoming the latest member of the popular Icon Series.

The reveal comes just days after Epic Games teased fans with a playful twist, announcing that CouRage’s dog, Louis, would be the first-ever Icon Sidekick.

The announcement was made during CouRageJD’s December 7 stream, where he teased his debut Fortnite skin. The reveal followed a humorous campaign that began on December 6, when Fortnite’s official X account confirmed Louis would join the game as a Sidekick. This clever marketing stunt had fans buzzing, with many joking about the dog receiving an Icon skin before his owner.

The teasers leading up to the reveal were equally entertaining. The first showed CouRage in a therapy session with Fortnite mascot Peely, venting his frustration that other creators like Ninja, Nick Eh 30, and SypherPK already had their skins. A second teaser featured several Icon Series characters before ending with a glimpse of CouRageJD’s own outline, confirming his addition to the roster.

Fortnite’s official channels later revealed that Louis’ Sidekick skin will arrive in the Item Shop on December 17, 2025. While the exact release date for CouRageJD’s Icon skin has not yet been confirmed, fans expect it to be revealed during his live stream today, on December 8 at 11 a.m. PT / 2 p.m. ET.

For CouRageJD, this collaboration marks a milestone in his career. As one of Fortnite’s early community figures, he even cast the Fortnite World Cup Finals in 2019. In recent months, he has returned to streaming the game more frequently, making this partnership a fitting recognition of his contributions.

Fans can expect CouRageJD’s Icon Series skin to include a creator-themed outfit, possible reactive effects, and extras such as a custom emote, glider, or jam track. Meanwhile, Louis’ Sidekick skin will be priced around 800 V-Bucks.

With this announcement, CouRageJD joins an impressive lineup of creators who have been immortalized in Fortnite, including Ninja, MrBeast, Kai Cenat, and Nick Eh 30.
