KRAFTON India Brings Cricket-Themed Minigame to BGMI

BGMI.

KRAFTON India has announced a cricket-themed event in Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI), perfectly timed to match the excitement of the IPL season.

Called the BGMI Cricket League, the feature blends real-world cricket with in-game rewards, giving players a fresh reason to stay engaged during one of India's biggest sporting seasons.

The event kicks off on March 27 and runs as a limited-time minigame.

Players can pick a team from live T20 matches, and if their chosen team wins, they earn Support and Win Spin Tokens.

These tokens feed into the Glacier Lucky Spin, which gives players a shot at unlocking exclusive in-game items. The more consistently players participate, the better their odds of earning higher-tier rewards.

It is a simple loop, but one that ties real-world match results directly to in-game progression.

One of the standout draws of this event is the return of the M416 Glacier skin. Long considered one of the rarest and most sought-after cosmetics in BGMI, the skin is making a limited comeback as part of the event. According to the official announcement, this may be the last opportunity for players to get their hands on it, which makes the event particularly significant for collectors and longtime fans of the game.

Srinjoy Das, Director of Marketing and BGMI Product Management at KRAFTON India, summed up the thinking behind the collaboration: "Cricket and BGMI, two things India absolutely loves, and now they're in the same place. We wanted to give our players a reason to care about every match this season, not just watch it from the sidelines. Pick your team, back them, and win rewards. It's that simple and that fun. There's never been a more exciting time to be a BGMI fan."

As per reports, the company is also rolling out a series of cricket-themed promotional films alongside the event, designed to connect with Indian players through the shared cultural love of both cricket and gaming.

The BGMI Cricket League is entirely free-to-play and carries no association with any official cricket board, league, or franchise. There is no real-money gaming or betting involved in any form.
