BGMI 4.3 Update Brings Chennai Super Kings Collaboration

Following its recently announced Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) partnership, KRAFTON India has now confirmed a second IPL collaboration for the BGMI 4.3 update, this time with Chennai Super Kings (CSK).

The CSK-themed content will go live on March 21, a few days before the KKR content drops on March 25.

Both collaborations are part of the same 4.3 update, which is expected to roll out on March 19.

The timing lines up neatly with the start of the TATA Indian Premier League 2026 season, scheduled from March 26 to May 31.

The update introduces two exclusive CSK-branded (Kind of M.S. Dhoni) collectables for players:

  • Thala Legacy Set: a themed outfit inspired by Chennai Super Kings

  • Thala Monster Truck: a special CSK vehicle skin

The update also introduces Photo Booth Points of Interest (POIs) across Erangel and Livik, which is a first for BGMI. At these locations, players can take in-game photos alongside CSK players.

Seddharth Merrotra, Head of Business Development and Partnerships at KRAFTON India, shared his thoughts on the collaboration. "Chennai Super Kings has one of the most devoted fan bases in world cricket, and BGMI has one of the most engaged gaming communities in India. Bringing them together had to feel meaningful for both, not just as a visual crossover, but as a genuine expression of that shared passion. We wanted fans to represent their team identity from inside the game, not just on the surface of it. The Photo Booth POIs are the fullest expression of that intent, something BGMI players have simply never experienced before inside the battleground," he said.

KS Viswanathan, Managing Director of Chennai Super Kings, also weighed in. "Chennai Super Kings has always shared an extraordinary connection with its fans. Bringing that connection into BGMI allows supporters to celebrate their team in a completely new format where the excitement of cricket meets the thrill of competitive gameplay," he added.

The CSK collaboration is the second IPL tie-up announced for BGMI 4.3, following the earlier KKR reveal. Together, they reflect a clear push by KRAFTON India to position BGMI as a gaming platform where cricket fandom can thrive, especially as the IPL season gets underway.

What Else Is Coming in BGMI 4.3

The CSK and KKR content is just one part of a packed update. The BGMI 4.3 update also brings:

  • Evolving Universe mode

  • M1 Garand rifle

  • Specialization System

  • Racing tracks

  • New skills and more
