Concept art for two potential new Survivors in Dead by Daylight has surfaced online. The leaks, which appeared on the LeaksDBD subreddit, showcase early designs for characters named Mina Kay and Renjiro Yamaoka, both of whom bring distinct backstories and visual identities to the game’s ever-expanding roster.

Who Is Mina Kay?
According to the leaked concept art and descriptions, Mina Kay is a muscular, high-energy character referred to as “The Wrestler.” She’s portrayed as a bodybuilder and amateur wrestler navigating a morally compromised sport. The character is described as being in her 20s, American, and “highly trained, agile, and muscular.” Her personality is said to be “intimidating and rough on stage,” yet she carries guilt from past decisions.
One of the leaked outfits shows Mina in full wrestling gear, holding a championship belt, a look that bears a strong resemblance to WWE superstar Rhea Ripley, albeit with blonde hair. The post claims Mina was part of a focus group for Survivor concepts developed around the same time as Vee, the female drummer Survivor introduced earlier this year.
Who Is Renjiro Yamaoka?
The second leaked Survivor is Renjiro Yamaoka, a character with deep lore connections to existing Dead by Daylight killers. Renjiro is described as a “Samurai on a quest to break a curse,” and is said to be the father of Kazan (The Oni) and ancestor to Rin (The Spirit). His character profile paints him as a tragic hero, stoic, honorable, and emotionally restrained, yet broken by a personal downfall.
Renjiro’s inclusion would mark a significant expansion of the Yamaoka family storyline, which has long been a fan-favorite within the game’s mythos. According to a deleted post, Renjiro was originally planned for release in March as part of the Year 10 roadmap. That roadmap hinted at a Survivor with ties to an existing killer, aligning with Renjiro’s backstory. However, BeHaviour Interactive has since indicated that the March Paragraph may be canceled due to scheduling changes involving a licensed chapter now pushed to January.
Will These Survivors Actually Be Released?
While the concept art appears to be from internal presentations used for focus group testing, there’s no guarantee either character will make it into the game. That said, Dead by Daylight has a history of leaked concept art eventually becoming reality — Vee and The Houndmaster being prime examples.
If released, Mina Kay would offer a bold, physical contrast to existing Survivors, potentially rivaling The Huntress in visual impact. Renjiro, meanwhile, could bring emotional depth and lore expansion that longtime players would appreciate.
