Death Stranding 2: On the Beach is officially making its way to PC on March 19, 2026, bringing Hideo Kojima's critically acclaimed sequel to a new platform less than a year after its PlayStation 5 debut.


The announcement came during the February 12 State of Play broadcast, confirming what many fans had been anticipating since the game's original launch in June 2025.


According to Jay Boor, Head of Publishing at Kojima Productions, the PC version is being developed with assistance from Nixxes Software and will feature several enhancements tailored specifically for the platform.

  • 21:9 ultra widescreen support for gameplay and cutscenes

  • 3D audio via DTS Sound Unbound

  • 3D audio via Windows Sonic for Headphones

  • PlayStation overlay integration (when account linked)

  • PlayStation Trophy support (when account linked)

  • Friends list access (when account linked)

Death Stranding 2: On the Beach PC Editions and Pre-orders Bonuses

Pre-orders are now live on both Steam and the Epic Games Store, with two editions available for purchase.


The Standard Edition is priced at $69.99 and includes the base game plus all pre-order bonuses. For those wanting a bit extra, the Digital Deluxe Edition runs $79.99 and packs in additional in-game items and cosmetic options.

The game itself continues Sam Porter Bridges' story as he ventures into Australia to connect the continent to the Chiral Network.


Death Stranding 2 was one of the highest-rated games of 2025, currently holding a score of 90 on OpenCritic and even scoring a Game of the Year nomination at The Game Awards 2025. The signature Social Strand System returns, letting players shape each other's worlds through indirect cooperation.


Boor also teased that new modes and features are coming to both PC and PlayStation 5 at launch, promising fresh challenges and rewards. However, specific details remain under wraps until next month, so fans will need to stay patient for that reveal.
