The Devil May Cry HD Collection and Devil May Cry 4: Special Edition have officially landed on GOG.com as a DRM-free bundle under the platform's Preservation Program.

This latest offering ensures that Dante’s stylish demon-slaying adventures remain compatible with modern PCs—without the need for online activation or third-party launchers.

The bundle includes four titles: Devil May Cry, Devil May Cry 2, Devil May Cry 3: Special Edition, and Devil May Cry 4: Special Edition.

All of them run at 1080p and 60fps, promising smooth action even on contemporary hardware.

While these versions are the same as previous PC releases, the main selling point here is longevity and stability—something the GOG Preservation Program is actively working toward by optimizing older games for modern operating systems and addressing potential compatibility issues caused by OS updates.

As GOG put it"As they are part of the GOG Preservation Program, it means that you won't have any problems in the future either! For example, if there were a Windows update messing something up, we'll be there to fix it."

Currently, the bundle is being offered at a 67% discount, priced between $14.84 and $19.49 depending on your region. The deal is live until July 2, 2025, at 8 AM UTC, making it an appealing option for both newcomers and longtime fans looking to add DRM-free copies to their collections.

The Devil May Cry 4 Special Edition is a remastered version of the 2008 title that features additional playable characters like Vergil, Lady, and Trish, along with improved gameplay mechanics and visual polish.

Meanwhile, Devil May Cry HD Collection is a collection of the first three PS2 titles, remastered in high definition. It was originally released in 2012 for PS3 and Xbox 360, then got released for Steam, PS4, and Xbox One in 2018.

While modders may still prefer older Steam versions for customization, the convenience of a one-time purchase with no DRM, combined with GOG’s refund policy and support, makes this bundle appealing.

It’s also a great way to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Devil May Cry 4: Special Edition, a milestone GOG acknowledged in their official announcement.

The GOG Preservation Program is also home to other retro and legacy gems such as Mortal Kombat 1+2+3, Castles 1 & 2, and Earthworm Jim 2, further emphasizing GOG’s commitment to preserving gaming history.
