The Basketball Federation of India (BFI) has unveiled the eFIBA India Qualifiers, partnering with Jet Skyesports, to select Team India for the upcoming eFIBA Season 3. This exciting esports competition offers Indian gamers a chance to showcase their NBA 2K skills on an international stage.

How Can You Participate in the eFIBA India Qualifiers?

Mark these dates on your calendar:

  • Registration deadline: September 5, 2024 Link

  • Prelim Rounds: September 6 to 8

  • Playoffs: September 9

  • Grand Finals: September 10

The top 12 NBA 2K24 players emerging from these qualifiers will represent India in the Regional Qualifiers for Asia/Oceania.

What's at Stake?

Winning the Regional Finals isn't just about national pride - it secures India's spot in the World Finals this December. Teams will compete for the world championship and a share of the €50,000 prize pool.

Who's Behind This Tournament?

This event is a collaboration between:

  1. The Basketball Federation of India (BFI): The official governing body for basketball in India.

  2. Jet Skyesports: A leading Indian esports organizer managing the qualifiers and grassroots competitions.

What is eFIBA?

eFIBA Season 3 will feature the upcoming NBA 2K25 on PlayStation 5, bringing together 60 national federations from six global regions. India competes in the Asia/Oceania region, alongside countries like Indonesia, Kazakhstan, New Zealand, and the Philippines (finalist from last season).

Tournament Structure

  • Regional Pre-Qualifiers: October 1 to 14, 2024

  • Regional Qualifiers and Finals: October 15 to November 7

  • eFIBA World Finals: December

Last season, held in Sweden, saw the USA clinch the championship and the largest share of the €50,000 prize pool, followed by France, Türkiye, and the Philippines.

All Regional Qualifiers, Regional Finals, and World Finals will be streamed live on the eFIBA and FIBA Twitch and YouTube channels.
