ENVY Claims Victory in The Shroud Gauntlet Marvel Rivals Tournament

ENVY has taken home the trophy at The Shroud Gauntlet, a Marvel Rivals tournament with a $50,000 prize pool.

Hosted by none other than legendary streamer and former pro Michael “Shroud” Grzesiek, the tournament went down on May 17, 2025, and did not disappoint.

Eight elite teams were invited to battle it out, thanks to a collaboration between Fight Night and Shroud’s management crew.

After a marathon 16-hour broadcast packed with action, it was ENVY who rose to the top, defeating 100 Thieves with a clean 3-0 sweep in the grand finals. Here's how the game progresses:

  • Game 1: 3-2 on Yggdrasil Path (Convoy mode)

  • Game 2: 2-1 on Hell’s Heaven (Domination mode)

  • Game 3: 4-3 on Spider-Islands (Convoy mode)

The Gauntlet featured some serious firepower—Sentinels, Gen.G, Luminosity Gaming NA, FlyQuest, Shroud-X, Shikigami, and of course, 100 Thieves—all brought their A-game.

Fans were treated to hours of high-stakes matches via Shroud’s Twitch channel and Rivals Fight Night’s streams.

ENVY kicked off strong with wins over Sentinels and FlyQuest, securing a spot in the upper bracket finals. But things got dicey—they took a 2-0 loss to 100 Thieves and were dropped to the lower bracket. Still, ENVY wasn’t going down easy. They bounced back hard, eliminated Sentinels 2-0, and earned their rematch against 100 Thieves.

The victory earned ENVY the top prize of approximately $25,000.

Perhaps the wildest part of ENVY’s run was their last-minute roster changes. On May 14, just three days before the event, they brought in Alex “Window” Ludlow from Shroud-X. Even crazier, Nicholas “Shpeediry” Zou (aka Speedily) joined the team on May 8, and ended up earning MVP honors for the finals.
