Five Games Are Leaving Xbox Game Pass on April 15, 2026, Including GTA 5

Xbox Game Pass subscribers are set to lose access to five titles on April 15, 2026. The removals were revealed through the Xbox App on PC, and the list includes some notable names across a range of genres.

The five games leaving the service are:

  • Grand Theft Auto V (Enhanced and Legacy Editions)

  • Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes

  • Terra Invicta

  • My Little Pony: A Zephyr Heights Mystery

  • Ashen

Players still have close to two weeks to jump into any of these titles before they disappear. Some of them are also available at a discount, so it might be worth picking one up if it has been on your radar.

Xbox Game Pass is losing five games on April 15, 2026, including Grand Theft Auto V.

The biggest name on the list is obviously Grand Theft Auto V. Developed by Rockstar North and published by Rockstar Games, the game originally launched back in September 2013. It has since been re-released across multiple generations of hardware. According to financial reports, the title has shipped over 215 million units as of late 2025, making it one of the best-selling games in history. On PC, the game was split into two versions in March 2025: Grand Theft Auto V Enhanced, featuring ray tracing, DLSS/FSR support, and improved graphics, and Grand Theft Auto V Legacy, which serves as the prior version for existing owners. It came back to Game Pass in April 2025, so it stayed for about a year on the platform.

Next up is Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes, a classic-style JRPG developed by Rabbit & Bear Studios, a team made up of veterans from the beloved Suikoden series. The game launched in April 2024 and received generally favorable reviews, holding a Metacritic score of 79 on PC. As per reviews, the game was praised as a love letter to classic JRPGs, offering over 100 recruitable characters and a story centered around war, alliance, and betrayal. Steam user reviews sit at a Very Positive 83%.

Terra Invicta is another game leaving the service. Developed by Pavonis Interactive, the team behind the Long War mod for XCOM, the game reached its full 1.0 release in January 2026 after spending time in early access. It is a deep, hard sci-fi grand strategy title set during a near-future alien invasion. The game excels for fans of complex strategy simulations, even if the learning curve is notably steep. Steam reviews currently sit at a Very Positive 82%.

My Little Pony: A Zephyr Heights Mystery, developed by Drakhar Studios and published by Outright Games, is a 3D platformer aimed squarely at younger audiences. It launched in May 2024 and features the Mane 6 investigating magical chaos in the kingdom of Zephyr Heights. Reviews place it around the 7.5 to 8 out of 10 range for its target demographic, with Steam landing at Mostly Positive.

Finally, Ashen rounds out the departing lineup. The atmospheric Souls-like from New Zealand studio A44 and published by Annapurna Interactive originally released in December 2019. It received strong critical praise, with a Metacritic score of 81 and an IGN rating of 8.5 out of 10. As per critics, the game stood out for its cel-shaded art style, stamina-based combat, and its unique take on the genre through its settlement-building and optional co-op elements.

All of this comes off the back of what was a genuinely strong couple of months for Game Pass. March 2026 brought in a solid lineup across two waves. Wave 1 included Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, EA Sports F1 25, and Cyberpunk 2077, among others.

Wave 2 then added Resident Evil 7: Biohazard, Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, and Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, the latter of which took home Game of the Year for 2025.

The April 2026 Wave 1 lineup has yet to be officially revealed, so subscribers will want to keep an eye out for that announcement.
