On September 7, in Décines-Charpieu, France, the FNCS 2025 Global Championship took the spotlight as Fortnite’s biggest tournament of the year. The event attracted a huge crowd both online and offline, with many calling it the best Fortnite esports event in recent years.
The Championship brought together the best trios from across the globe, each earning their place through standout performances at regional Majors. With a $2 million prize pool on the line, Europe once again proved dominant, especially squads from Poland, Russia, and Scandinavia. North America, however, struggled to make an impact, with no team finishing higher than fifth place.
Leading the charge were players from the Gentle Mates roster, who played a key role in both the first- and second-place finishes. In the end, the Championship title went to Andrejs “Merstach” Piratovs (Gentle Mates), Aleksa “Queasy” Cvetkovic (Twisted Minds), and Egor “SwizzY” Luciko (Gentle Mates).

The winning squad dominated the event with three Victory Royales and a total of 61 eliminations. Their impressive run earned them the first-place prize of $450,000.
