Here’s a breakdown of everything coming in 2026:
Core Format Update
FNCS Duos Return: The Fortnite Champion Series will officially return to the Duos format, a long-requested change by the community. Duos will be featured in both Majors and Global Championships throughout the year.
Ranked 2.0 Overhaul: Epic is revamping the ranked system with Ranked 2.0, which may include:
New point structures for eliminations and placements
Potential return of Arena-style progression
New Competitive Events
FNCS Mid-Season LAN: A brand-new international LAN event designed to bring top players together between Majors.
Reload Elite Series LAN: A separate LAN event focused on the fast-paced Reload mode, with qualifiers and format details to be announced soon.
Mobile Expansion
$1 Million Mobile Series: A dedicated global tournament for Fortnite Mobile players, featuring a massive $1M prize pool. This comes after Fortnite’s return to iOS with the new Blitz mode, signaling renewed support for mobile esports.
Fan-Favorite Returns
Pro-Am Tournament Returns: The beloved Pro-Am format is coming back, pairing content creators with FNCS pros for a crossover event. The last Pro-Am was held in Los Angeles in May 2025, with 20 teams competing for a $500,000 prize pool.
Regional Expansion
LAN Events Return to Europe: Epic confirmed that live LAN competitions will return to Europe in 2026, following the overwhelming response from fans at the Lyon championship.
