Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 1: Pacific Break Preview – Battle Pass, Gameplay Changes, Weapons, Map

Fortnite’s next big chapter is almost here. Chapter 7 Season 1: Pacific Break is scheduled to launch on November 30, 2025 (depending on your time zone), and Epic Games is teasing what could be the most ambitious overhaul of its battle royale yet.

Major Gameplay Changes Coming

One of the boldest shifts is the removal of the Battle Bus. Instead of dropping in from the sky, players will surf in on the storm and land in smaller, predetermined areas. It’s a fundamental change that could balance the map better and reduce overcrowding in popular landing spots.

Epic is also introducing drivable reboot vans, self-res items, and even hot air balloons as new ways to travel and revive teammates. Wingsuits will add vertical mobility, letting us soar across the map in style.

Quality-of-life tweaks are also on the way, including aiming down sights while reloading or airborne, rolling while downed, and hitscan projectiles for non-sniper weapons.

NPC bosses now drop items that let you become them—wear their skin and gain their special abilities. It’s a mini throwback to Chapter 6’s player-controlled kaiju, but more tactical.

Battle Pass Details

The Season 1 Battle Pass will feature 8 skins, including collaborations with Kill Bill and  Back to the Future.

  • The Bride (Kill Bill)

  • Marty McFly (Back to the Future)

  • Cat Holloway (a glamorous movie star)

  • Kingston (a laid-back lion)

  • Carter Wu (an action movie stuntman)

  • Carina (skater girl with blue hair)

  • Miles Cross (an action movie star with sci-fi elements)

  • Dark Voyager (a new version of Eternal Voyager)

The pass is available from November 29, 2025, to March 4, 2026, and is reportedly priced at up to 1,000 V-Bucks.

New Map Locations

Chapter 7 introduces a fresh island inspired by the southwestern USA, with POIs modeled after Los Angeles (Battlewood Boulevard), Las Vegas (Sandy Strip), and Area 51 (Innoloop Labs).

Other areas include TipTop Terrace, Latte Landing, Painted Palms, Bumpy Bay, Humble Hills, and Classified Canyon.

The map also features new infrastructure like hot air balloons and a working roller coaster, the first since Rave Cave back in Chapter 3.

OG, Reload, and Blitz Vaulted Temporarily

To focus the player base on learning Chapter 7’s core changes, OG, Reload, and Blitz won’t be available right at launch. Before you worry, Epic has set short timelines:

  • Blitz and Reload are slated to return on December 5.

  • OG will come back with the new Fortnite OG season starting December 11.

In-universe, there’s a cute explanation: with the Battle Bus offline, there’s no “delivery” service for those modes until repairs wrap.

Anomalies

Chapter 7 introduces match modifiers called Anomalies, making every Battle Royale match more unpredictable and fun. Think of them like random "power-ups" or game rules that kick in for the entire match—affecting everyone playing.

Here are some confirmed ones from gameplay and leaks. More will roll out during the season:

  • Hide & Seek - Crouch or stand still to go invisible (great for ambushes or hiding).

  • Millionaire / Gold Rush - Breaking objects (trees, builds) with your pickaxe drops tons of gold bars.

  • Self-Revive Airdrop - When downed/knocked, a supply drop lands with a self-revive item (get back up without teammates).

  • Rift-a-Palooza - Spawns rift portals everywhere (teleport? loot?).

  • Kenny Respawn (Soon) - Get one extra respawn if eliminated during it.

  • Everyone Kills Kenny (Soon) - South Park-themed—players die super easily? (Tied to collab).

Upcoming ones (datamined by Loolo): Caval Crates (fireworks loot?), Construction Zone, Friend Zone, Loaf Hill, Mega Sale, Mythic Melee, OG Chests, Slappy Surge, Soaring Redeploy, Stick of Truth (South Park?), Taco Time.

Music and Collabs

Fortnite Festival is back with BlackPink’s Lisa headlining the new music pass.

Upcoming collaborations teased include LEGO Ninjago, South Park, Harry Potter, SpongeBob, Hatsune Miku (Christmas edition), Naruto, and Arcane’s Vi & Jinx.

On the narrative front, teasers point to The Seven, The Ice King, and The Last Reality regrouping after Zero Hour, with threads scattered across the omniverse. If you’re into lore, this season looks like a proper reboot of Fortnite’s core mythos.
