When is Fortnite Chapter 7, Season 1? Release Date & Expected Start Time

Fortnite Chapter 6 is coming to an end, and players everywhere are asking the same question: when exactly does Chapter 7 begin? Depending on which report you follow, the answer is either November 29, 2025, or November 30, 2025. While Epic Games has confirmed the timing through in-game announcements, community leaks and dataminer reports have added some uncertainty to the mix.

Conflicting Dates

According to official announcements and the in-game Battle Pass screen, Chapter 7 Season 1 is set to launch on Sunday, November 30, 2025. This lines up with the end of the current Battle Pass, which concludes on November 29 at 2 PM EST. That timing makes sense, as the Zero Hour finale event takes place on November 29, followed by extended downtime before the new chapter begins.

However, reports from community sources like ShiinaBR and HYPEX suggest Chapter 7 could go live just 3-5 hours after the finale on November 29. Based on past events, downtime has ranged anywhere from 7 to 18 hours, with some extreme cases like 2019’s The End event lasting 36 hours. If Epic shortens downtime this year, Chapter 7 might indeed arrive late on November 29 for North America regions, while others won’t see it until the next day.

What’s New in Chapter 7 "Pacific Break"

Regardless of the exact start date, Chapter 7 Season 1 is shaping up to be one of Fortnite’s most ambitious yet. Epic has already confirmed a Kill Bill crossover, with Uma Thurman reprising her role as The Bride and the introduction of Yuki Yubari, a character cut from the original film. Director Quentin Tarantino has even collaborated with Epic to bring his vision of “Yuki’s Revenge” to life inside Fortnite (starting officially on November 30 at 2 PM ET).

The recent teaser poster (as given above) shows Michael J. Fox as Marty McFly, LEGO Ninjago-like weapons, and hints of returning factions like The Seven. Players have also spotted a Golden Cube reflection and glimpses of new POIs, including a desert biome.

In addition to official information, dataminers such as ShiinaBR, HYPEX, and SamLeakss have revealed leaks suggesting a West Coast/USA-themed map featuring tsunami deployment mechanics, Area 51, casinos, water parks, and Tilted-style points of interest.

Key Gameplay Changes in Chapter 7:

Battle Pass Details

The Chapter 7 Season 1 Battle Pass will cost 1,000 V-Bucks, the same price as Chapter 6. Players can upgrade to the Battle Bundle for 2,800 V-Bucks to skip ahead to Tier 25, or subscribe to Fortnite Crew for $11.99 / £9.99 per month, which includes the Battle Pass, monthly V-Bucks, and exclusive rewards (also comes with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate).

For those who want a freebie, logging in between November 27 and December 1 will unlock the Yuki Yubari outfit at no cost.

So, when does Fortnite Chapter 7, Season 1 start? The safest bet is: not until November 30 at 2 AM EST.
