Fortnite may soon welcome SpongeBob SquarePants into its ever-expanding roster of crossovers, according to fresh leaks from trusted insiders.

The leaks suggest that the collaboration will arrive as early as November 27, 2025. Some believe it marks the beginning of Chapter 7, while others think it's a mini-season leading up to the next chapter.
If true, this could be another major animated crossover for Fortnite, building on its recent collaborations with The Simpsons and Scooby-Doo. For players like you and me, that means we might soon be dropping into the island dressed as SpongeBob, Patrick, or even Squidward.
Dataminers have already uncovered a SpongeBob-themed cosmetic: Plankton Wheels, Jellyfish Boost, Flowers Drift Trail, and a Desert Biome, hinting that the collab won’t stop at skins. Expect the usual mix of back blings, emotes, and wraps, all themed around Bikini Bottom.
As per reports by well-known leakers like HYPEX, Loolo, Shiina, and SamLeakss, the crossover is timed to launch alongside the new season, which makes sense given Epic’s history of tying big collabs to seasonal refreshes.
This wouldn’t be SpongeBob’s first brush with Fortnite. Fans may remember SpongeBob-inspired UEFN (Unreal Editor for Fortnite) content in Creative mode, but this time the scale looks much larger. If the leaks are accurate, we’re talking about a full-fledged crossover on par with the other major events.
The timing also feels perfect. Just this week, Fortnite wrapped up its Fortnitemares Halloween event and rolled straight into a Simpsons-themed mini-season, complete with characters and Springfield landmarks. Adding SpongeBob into the mix would keep the momentum going and give players another reason to log in when Chapter 7 kicks off.
Of course, Epic Games hasn’t officially confirmed anything yet. That’s typical; they usually stay quiet until the last moment. But if history is any guide, leaks like these almost always pan out. We’ve seen it before with Marvel, Star Wars, and countless other collabs.
For now, all we can do is wait and speculate. Will SpongeBob be a Battle Pass skin? Will Plankton show up as a back bling? And will we finally get to emote with a jellyfishing net in hand? Whatever the case, it looks like Fortnite’s next big crossover is ready to make a splash.
