Epic Games has officially confirmed its next Fortnite collaboration — and it’s a big one. Tied in with the release of Marvel Studios’ Fantastic Four: First Steps, the event will feature both exclusive skins and a competitive in-game tournament, the Fantastic Four Cup, kicking off on July 23, 2025.
This new Cup is more than just a fun tie-in. It’s a full-fledged tournament where squads can compete regionally for a chance to unlock the entire Fantastic Four: First Steps bundle for free — days before the skins hit the Item Shop.
How the Fantastic Four Cup Works
The Cup will follow Fortnite’s standard competitive format. Players will compete in squads over a three-hour window specific to their region, with full schedules available in the in-game Compete tab.
Participating regions include North America Central, North America West, Europe, Asia, Brazil, Middle East, and Oceania.
During that window, squads can play up to 10 matches, with the goal of scoring as many points as possible. Victory Royales and eliminations will be the main sources of scoring, but placement also plays a big role.
Fantastic Four Cup Scoring System:
Victory Royale – 62 points
2nd Place – 52 points
3rd Place – 45 points
4th Place – 30 points
5th Place – 35 points
6th Place – 30 points
7th Place – 28 points
8th Place – 26 points
9th Place – 24 points
10th Place – 22 points
11th Place – 20 points
12th Place – 18 points
13th Place – 16 points
14th Place – 14 points
15th Place – 12 points
16th Place – 10 points
17th Place – 8 points
18th Place – 6 points
19th Place – 4 points
20th Place – 2 points
Each Elimination – 1 point
Rewards and Tiebreakers
Squads with the highest point totals in their respective regions will unlock the full Fantastic Four: First Steps bundle, which includes skins for The Thing, Human Torch, Mister Fantastic, and Invisible Woman, all styled after the upcoming film's cast.
In the event of a tie, winners will be decided based on several factors:
Total points scored
Number of Victory Royales
Average eliminations
Average placement
Total time survived across all matches
So playing smart — and surviving longer — can be just as important as racking up eliminations.
Bonus Cosmetics for Participation
Even if you don’t make the top cut, there are still some themed cosmetics up for grabs:
‘It’s Clobberin’ Time’ Spray – Awarded for surviving 60 minutes across Cup matches
‘Flame On’ Emoticon – Unlocks after surviving a total of 120 minutes
These rewards are a nice bonus for players who want to earn a piece of the event, even if they're not pushing for top placements.
Eligibility and Requirements
To participate, players must meet a few basic conditions:
Be Level 50 or higher in Fortnite
Have Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) enabled on their Epic Games account
Agree to and follow all tournament rules listed in the in-game details
The Fantastic Four Cup will be cross-platform, so players across PlayStation, Xbox, PC, Switch, and mobile can all join in.
Whether you're aiming to win it all or just looking to survive long enough to snag the free rewards, July 23 will be a big day for fans.
