With Fantastic Four: First Steps hitting theaters this week, Marvel’s iconic superhero team is also set to make their in-game debut in Fortnite. The crossover will officially launch on Friday, July 25 at 5 PM PT (or Saturday, July 26 at 1 AM BST) with skins and cosmetics inspired by the new movie's cast and character designs.

This highly-anticipated collaboration brings all four members — Mr. Fantastic, Invisible Woman, The Thing, and Human Torch — into the Fortnite Item Shop, each accompanied by themed cosmetics. These include back blings, pickaxes, built-in emotes, and even an exclusive Fantastic Four Space Craft glider, believed to be modeled after the group's signature vehicle from the film.

Here’s What You Can Unlock:

  • Reed Richards (Mr. Fantastic) comes with the Fantastic Fists pickaxe and Fantastic Calculations emote.

  • Susan Storm (Invisible Woman) includes the Psionic Orbs pickaxe, Force Field Shatter emote, and her logo back bling.

  • Johnny Storm (Human Torch) features the Torch’s Flame pickaxe, a Flame On! transformation emote, and his custom logo back bling.

  • Ben Grimm (The Thing) offers his Ready-to-Rumble alt style, the It’s Clobberin’ Time! emote, and matching back bling.

Players will also have the chance to unlock all four outfits early through the Fantastic Four Cup, a Battle Royale Squads tournament set for July 23. As per Fortnite's official site, the top-performing teams in each region will earn early access to the complete set.

Even if you don’t place among the top squads, there are still some fun extras to aim for. Surviving 60 minutes in the Cup gets you the It’s Clobberin’ Time Spray, while lasting 120 minutes unlocks the Flame On Emoticon. Both are cosmetic rewards tied to the event and serve as commemorative goodies for participating players.

Each of the pickaxes — including Reed’s stretchy fists and Sue’s psionic blades — are universal, meaning they can be equipped with other Fortnite outfits. Emotes like “Flame On!” not only look cool but actually alter your appearance mid-game, letting Johnny Storm transform into his fiery alternate style, The Human Torch.

This isn’t the first time Marvel and Fortnite have teamed up, but it’s certainly one of the most movie-accurate collaborations we’ve seen, blending cinematic likenesses with interactive emotes and gear that fans can really enjoy.
