Epic Games is once again tapping into player nostalgia, as a newly surfaced Fortnite survey suggests the studio is considering bringing back several major brand collaborations from previous seasons.
Shared by trusted leaker @Egyptian_Leaker on X (formerly Twitter), the survey includes direct questions about revisiting older crossover content — Star Wars, Marvel, Godzilla, and Gotham City.
The survey asks players how interested they’d be in revisiting past live events, seasons, limited-time modes, and mid-season activations that were based on well-known brands.

While Epic hasn't made any official announcements yet, the nature of the questions strongly points toward a possible revival of past hits — potentially with new twists.
Fortnite Might Revive Gotham, Marvel, & Godzilla Events
A Gotham City Comeback?
Among the most talked-about possibilities is a return to Gotham City, first introduced in Fortnite Chapter 1 Season X back in 2019.
This crossover transformed the popular Tilted Town into a Batman-themed POI, complete with Bat‑Signal, Batman gadgets, a themed limited-time mode, and it remains a fan favorite, even though the Gotham area was present only briefly.
Community posts still reminisce about it: “Sadly, Gotham … was in the game for a few weeks, but I loved every second of it.”
Given how popular it was, the survey referencing “Arkham City” suggests Epic may consider reviving or reimagining that POI.
Revisiting Chapter 2 Season 4 – Marvel’s “Nexus War”
Another major collaboration that could return is Chapter 2 Season 4, also known as the Marvel Nexus War.
Released in 2020, this season was Fortnite’s most ambitious Marvel crossover to date. It introduced a Marvel-themed Battle Pass featuring characters like Thor, Storm, Iron Man, and Doctor Doom, alongside POIs such as Stark Industries and Doom’s Domain.
The season concluded with the now-iconic “Devourer of Worlds” live event, which drew a record-breaking 15.3 million concurrent players according to Epic. With skins, storyline events, and built-in emotes inspired by Marvel comics, this season left a lasting impression — one fans have consistently requested to see again.
If Epic brings it back, it could align nicely with upcoming Marvel projects or new Avengers content, adding synergy across media platforms.
Godzilla's Roar May Echo Again
Fortnite’s Godzilla-themed content, featured in Chapter 3 Season 3 (2022), also seems to be on the table for revival.
The crossover introduced kaiju-themed skins like Godzilla Evolved and Mecha Destroyer, a temporary kaiju battle on the island, and exclusive emotes like the “Roar of Destruction.” The survey’s mention of a “mid‑season activation” tied to Godzilla fits this format exactly.
Death Star Sabotage and Star Wars’ Legacy
Fortnite’s been teaming up with Star Wars since 2019 (in Chapter 1, Season X), starting with a Rise of Skywalker event where players joined the Resistance in a battle against the First Order, complete with X-Wings, TIE Fighters, and a Death Star hologram.
Now in 2025, the big Galactic Battle mid-season just wrapped up, featuring another Death Star Sabotage showdown. This time, players had to sabotage Palpatine’s plan to blow up the island, flying X-Wings and battling Imperial forces in a multi-part mission.
The new survey mentions that the "Sabotage" event suggests Epic might be thinking about bringing it back again.
What Fans Are Saying
Comments on social media show players are enthusiastic: many want Nexus War back (“Bring back the greatest season… Chapter 2 Season 4”), while nostalgia for Gotham and old maps remains strong.
That said, some caution that too much reuse could backfire; not everyone wants only reruns. Still, the survey indicates that Epic is carefully measuring sentiment before deciding whether to resurrect older collabs.
Interestingly, this survey comes shortly after Epic brought back one of Fortnite’s most iconic fighting game crossovers. The Fortnite x Street Fighter collaboration returned to the Item Shop recently, after more than 1,000 days, bringing iconic fighters — Ryu, Chun-Li, Cammy, Guile, Sakura, and Blanka. The return was met with excitement across the community, serving as a reminder that Epic is definitely open to revisiting well-loved collabs.
So, what would you want to see return first — a Bat-Signal over Tilted, Iron Man’s workshop, or the roar of a kaiju echoing through the island? Let me know in the comments.
