Fortnite Could Be Teaming Up With Overwatch in a Surprise Crossover

Fortnite could be gearing up for another surprise team-up, as fresh leaks suggest Blizzard’s Overwatch might soon collide with Epic Games’ massively popular battle royale.

When it comes to modern online shooters, Overwatch and Fortnite are two names that immediately come to mind. Despite dominating the genre for years, the two franchises have never officially partnered. Now, if recent leaks are accurate, that long-awaited crossover could finally be on the horizon.

What the Leaks Say

On December 11, Fortnite leaker SpushFNBR posted leaked assets featuring LEGO heads and pieces. One particular headpiece drew attention for closely resembling Overwatch’s Hanzo.

According to Hypex, another popular leaker, the Hanzo hair model appeared in an early version of a Fortnite LEGO skin, was later removed, and has now reportedly been re-added.

Further fueling speculation, Fortnite’s October 2025 in-game surveys listed Overwatch alongside major IPs such as Pokémon, Star Wars, and Genshin Impact as potential crossover candidates.

On the other side, while Overwatch 2 has already explored collaborations—teaming up with Cowboy Bebop and even Porsche—it has never crossed paths with Fortnite. Fans have long pushed for Fortnite-style skins and cosmetics in Overwatch, and these leaks have reignited that excitement.

So far, no release window, season, or confirmed roster has surfaced, meaning this should still be treated as speculation rather than confirmation.

That hasn’t stopped fans from dreaming up potential playable heroes, with names like Tracer, Genji, Reaper, Widowmaker, and even Mercy or Kiriko frequently mentioned as perfect fits for Fortnite.

For now, players will have to wait and see whether this long-rumored crossover finally becomes a reality.
