Fortnite’s next wave of seasons and skins might be heading in some wildly creative directions, if a newly leaked player survey is anything to go by.
Shared by well-known leaker ShiinaBR on X, the survey reportedly went out to select players and contained more than 40 potential themes. These ideas range from ancient myths and retro nostalgia to full-blown post-apocalyptic chaos, showing that Epic Games is still determined to blend fresh innovation with fan-favorite callbacks.
While the list is massive, a few trends stand out. One is the strong retro influence. Multiple categories focus on “Retro Cartoon Characters” from the 70’s, 80’s, 90’s, and even 2000’s, alongside “Retro Video Games” spanning four decades. Given Fortnite’s past success with nostalgia like bringing in Family Guy during Chapter 5 Season 1 or Rick and Morty in earlier chapters, this push could mean a major revival for vintage aesthetics in 2026.
Another eye-catching entry is Anime/Manga. That alone has fans speculating about collaborations with hits like Persona or Demon Slayer.
In the same vein of pop culture tie-ins, the “Streamers” theme suggests skins inspired by popular gaming personalities, something Fortnite has done before with Ninja and Loserfruit, but this time it might go much bigger.
Not all ideas lean on crossovers. The survey also teases high-adrenaline experiences like Extreme Sports and Cars/Racing, which could mean expanded vehicle mechanics.
Then there are grittier settings, such as “Post-apocalyptic” (think Mad Max) and “Zombie Apocalypse,” both perfect fits for Fortnite’s survival modes.
Fans of mythology aren’t left out either. “Greek,” “Norse,” and “Egyptian Mythology” all make an appearance, alongside “Celtic” and “Ancient Civilizations,” offering plenty of room for creative world-building.

This isn’t Epic Games’ first time using surveys as a way to test the waters. Similar polls in 2024 and early 2025 teased skins that eventually made their way into the game, some of which were first revealed in late 2024 and rolled out across 2025. This track record means it’s worth paying attention to, even if some of these concepts never make it into the final game.
Fortnite is now in Chapter 6, Season 4, named Shock ‘N Awesome. Many players believe this could be the last full season before Chapter 7 debuts in December, with rumors swirling about a potential mini-season featuring the Simpsons in the meantime.
If the leaked survey is any indication, Epic might already be mapping out the 2026 roadmap, blending old-school charm, modern flair, and a few unexpected twists along the way.
