Fortnite’s annual Winterfest event has returned, bringing festive cheer, new collaborations, and plenty of surprises for players.
Epic Games is officially set to launch Fortnite Winterfest 2025 today, December 18, with update v39.11. Downtime began at 1:00 AM PST / 3:00 AM CST / 4:00 AM ET (9:00 AM UTC), with matchmaking disabled 30 minutes prior.
As always, the event introduces seasonal map changes, free daily gifts, and limited-time modes to keep players engaged through the holidays.
The Winterfest Cabin is back, allowing fans to unwrap one free cosmetic each day until early January. Rewards include outfits, pickaxes, gliders, wraps, and loading screens, with all gifts remaining claimable for a short period after the event ends.
The first Winterfest 2025 trailer dropped earlier today, confirming several leaks that had been circulating online. Dataminers like ShiinaBR and HypeX had already hinted at collaborations with Sabrina Carpenter, Harry Potter, Hatsune Miku, and Bleach, and Epic’s teaser has now validated much of that speculation.
Leaks suggest that the Harry Potter crossover could be one of the largest yet, with over 10 skins, multiple back blings, a pickaxe, emote, and even a Jam Track. Meanwhile, the Snow Miku bundle is rumored to include a skin, back bling, emote, and two Jam Tracks. Sabrina Carpenter’s bundle will reportedly feature her Santa skin and a themed back bling.
Beyond cosmetics, Winterfest 2025 brings snowy map updates, including a ski resort expansion at Paws Inn and festive storm shapes like Christmas trees and snowmen in non-competitive modes.
Epic also teased Hogwarts house skins via cabin socks and a Chocolate Frog back bling that players can earn by logging two hours in Hogwarts Legacy before December 18.
