Fortnite will officially be available through the Xbox on PC app starting November 18, giving players another way to jump into Epic’s massive battle royale.
Up until now, PC players had to rely on the Epic Games Launcher to access Fortnite. That changes this month, as Microsoft is adding the game to its Xbox PC store.
Fortnite is also joining the Xbox Play Anywhere program, which means your purchases and progress will carry seamlessly across Xbox consoles, PC, and even supported handhelds like the Xbox Ally and Ally X.
It’s worth noting that Fortnite still isn’t on Steam, so this Xbox PC integration is another way Microsoft is positioning itself against SteamOS competition.

There’s more good news if you’re an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscriber. Starting November 18, you’ll also get Fortnite Crew as part of your perks. According to Microsoft, Crew membership includes a monthly skin, 1,000 V-Bucks, and access to all of Fortnite’s battle passes. That’s a solid bonus for anyone already subscribed, since it adds consistent rewards without extra cost.
