Garena and Tez have officially announced that the grand finals of the Free Fire MAX India Cup (FFMIC) 2025 will take place at the Ekana International Indoor Stadium in Lucknow on September 28.
This marks the first major esports event for Free Fire MAX in India since the original title was banned in 2022, making it a significant moment for the game’s competitive revival.
A total of 16 teams have qualified for the finals after progressing through in-game open qualifiers, followed by online rounds and a four-week league stage. The final lineup includes some of the most recognized names in Indian esports, such as GodLike Esports, S8UL, Revenant XSpark, and Team iNSANE, alongside rising contenders like Kar98 Army, Genesis Esports, and Nonstop Pros.
The 16 teams heading to Lucknow are:
GodLike Esports
Jonty Gaming
Total Gaming
Aerobotz Esports
Genesis Esports
Nightmare Esports
Reckoning Esports
Gods Reign
Team iNSANE
Vasista Esports
NG Silver Eagle
Team Hind
Revenant XSpark
Autobotz Esports
Nonstop Pros
Team Tycoons
S8UL
Kar98 Army
The tournament will follow the Champion Rush format, where teams race to reach 80 points. Once a team hits that threshold, they must secure a Booyah (match win) to clinch the title. If no team manages to do so, the squad with the highest points after 10 matches will be declared the champion.
The total prize pool stands at ₹1 crore, and tickets will be made available soon via BookMyShow.
The finals will be streamed live on the Free Fire MAX India Esports YouTube channel.
India’s Free Fire esports scene has been in limbo since the original game was banned in early 2022 due to data privacy concerns. However, Free Fire MAX, which wasn’t affected by the ban, has since become the primary platform for fans and players. FFMIC 2025 signals Garena’s renewed commitment to the Indian market.
