Galactic Wolves claimed victory at the Realme Campus Gaming League Grand Finals, securing the championship title and taking home INR 200,000 from the total prize pool of INR 400,000.
The intense competition, held at the SIGMA Auditorium, Sri Sairaam Engineering College in Chennai, saw the top 16 college teams from across India battling it out in Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI). Galactic Wolves' first-place finish in the penultimate game pushed them to the top of the overall standings, sealing their win.
The Realme Campus Gaming League, a national collegiate esports tournament, was organized by Skyesports in partnership with Realme. Designed to empower college students and provide them with a platform to showcase their gaming talents in BGMI, the tournament drew record participation. Over 2,700 teams from more than 200 colleges nationwide competed for a chance to reach the Grand Finals.
To further promote local talent, Skyesports also hosted a qualifier at Sri Sairaam Engineering College, where two teams earned their spots in the Finals.
The excitement of the event was amplified by the presence of well-known gaming personalities Jonathan Gaming and Jelly. Jonathan, who recently secured third place in the BGMI Pro Series (BMPS) 2024 with GodLike Esports, shared valuable insights with the competitors, inspiring them with his experience and knowledge of the game.
Shiva Nandy, Founder and CEO of Skyesports, reflected on the success of the tournament, stating,
