Grow a Garden, the wildly popular Roblox farming simulator, has once again rewritten the record books — and this time, the numbers are even more staggering. On June 21, 2025, the game hit an unprecedented peak of 21.3 million concurrent players, breaking its own record set just a week earlier when it reached 16.4 million.

The surge in player activity comes right after the release of Grow a Garden's highly anticipated Summer Update, which introduced a host of new content including additional crops, pet companions, crop mutations, and a cooperative Summer Harvest event.

According to stats provided by @romonitorstats, this update proved to be the biggest draw yet, pushing the game beyond what any other live-service title has accomplished — even surpassing Fortnite’s all-time peak of 14.3 million, recorded during a special event in November 2024.

Originally launched in March 2025, Grow a Garden has quickly grown into a global phenomenon. In just a few short months, it has crossed over 10 billion lifetime visits and continues to maintain a healthy daily average of around 2 million concurrent players, even outside of major update drops. Its idle gameplay loop — where players plant, harvest, and expand gardens even while offline — has clearly struck a chord with a broad audience.

The newly launched Summer Harvest event in particular has been a major attraction. It allows players across each server to contribute crops collectively to unlock randomized rewards at different contribution tiers. It’s the kind of collaborative, low-pressure gameplay that has made Grow a Garden appealing to both younger players and older casual gamers alike.

As the school summer holidays begin across many countries, the timing couldn’t be better. With kids now having more free time and developers continuing to roll out regular updates, there’s a strong possibility the game’s numbers could climb even higher in the coming weeks.

While skepticism remains among some users who speculate about potential bot usage inflating the stats, Roblox has consistently defended the game’s success. A prior statement from a Roblox spokesperson emphasized that Grow a Garden’s popularity stems from strong user retention, social play dynamics, and high Robux engagement — not artificial inflation.

For now, the numbers speak volumes. No other Roblox experience — or online game in general — is even close.
