GTA VI Extended Look: Full Release Times for Every Region

Rockstar Games will premiere Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look on August 27, 2026. The showcase is the studio's biggest official video drop since Trailer 2 landed back in May 2025, and fans have been counting down for weeks.

How Long Will the Extended Look Run?

Rockstar hasn't confirmed a runtime yet. Rumors have swung between a tight 20 to 30 minute cut and a multi-episode version totaling close to an hour, though the multi-episode claim has been widely debunked as fake. Whatever the final length turns out to be, this is shaping up as a proper meaty look at the game rather than another short trailer.

Game Status

  • Release date: November 19, 2026 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S (no PC date yet).

  • Pre-orders are live: Standard Edition $79.99; Ultimate Edition $99.99 (with exclusive vehicles, gear, shops, apparel, extra missions, etc.).

  • In June 2026, Rockstar released 63 new high-quality screenshots highlighting characters (Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos), customization (clothes, hair, tattoos, nails, weapon patterns), ray-traced reflections, and Ultimate/Vintage Vice City Pack content.

Most trailers so far have leaned on cinematic and in-engine footage rather than real gameplay, and this showcase is widely expected to finally change that. Fans want a deeper look at the Leonida map, which covers Vice City and the surrounding Florida-inspired region, plus more driving, combat, police encounters, and side activities.

Starting around August 18, unofficial leaks from CyberLeek began circulating online. The clips show Jason driving, including some reckless highway moments, along with melee combat, basketball, police interactions, hypercar driving, and even carjacking. Map details have also surfaced, pointing to locations like Dalton Island, Tequesta Retreat, Gloriana Key, and Catalan Key and Bay.

The footage shows sharp visual fidelity, long render distances, and dense traffic. Still, these are leaks, so they should be treated as unofficial.
