A real-life police car used in the making of Grand Theft Auto 6 has reportedly gone up for auction.
The car in question is a 2013 Chevrolet Caprice, decked out as a Vice City Police Department cruiser.
It isn’t just a clever replica — as per the auction description, this exact car was reportedly 3D scanned by Rockstar Games and turned into one of the vehicles players will drive in GTA 6.
Auction listing on Kraft Auctions stated the vehicle is fully street legal, equipped with police parts like a working light bar, siren, brush guard, and spotlights.
The listing also explains that the Caprice was used to promote GTA 6, with an initial starting bid of just $10. It has already climbed to over $3,250, and the price is expected to rise before the listing closes on August 23.
One small detail in the listing did spark some debate. It mentions that GTA 6 will release in 2025, which is outdated information. Publisher Take-Two Interactive has already confirmed that the highly anticipated game is set to launch on May 26, 2026. But the mix-up hasn’t stopped fans from buzzing about the car's authenticity.
We can’t confirm anything, and neither Rockstar Games nor its parent company, Take-Two, has made a statement yet. So, we suggest caution. Still, if true, this will be a great addition to the collection.
