For the first time, Rockstar Games is rolling out a major GTA Online update on a Wednesday instead of the usual Tuesday schedule.

What the Update Brings

The Safehouse in the Hills update is one of the most ambitious expansions GTA Online has seen in years. Here’s what players can expect:

  • Luxury Mansions: For the first time, players can purchase mansions in Tongva Hills, Richman, and near the Vinewood sign. Each estate is customizable with exterior features like pools, helipads, garages, and even kennels. Interiors include lounges, trophy rooms, secure vaults, and themed décor options such as San Andreas Coastal, Los Santos Loft, and Vinewood Regency.

  • AI Concierge: A new assistant named Haviland offers three selectable personas, managing tasks, boosting production, and acting as virtual staff.

  • Private Security & Parties: Players can hire guards to patrol their estates and host mansion parties with friends or strangers.

  • Michael De Santa’s Return: The GTA V protagonist makes a cameo in the trailer, hinting at new missions tied to his storyline.

  • New Missions & Vehicles: Fresh missions are available even without mansion ownership. Vehicles include new supercars, drift cars, and law enforcement rides, with GTA+ members getting early access to the Vapid FMJ MK V.

  • Mission Creator: A robust toolkit lets players design custom missions with props, objectives, and advanced logic.

  • Quality-of-Life Updates: Expanded Missile Lock-On Jammer support, Freemode events, and performance tweaks round out the package.


With mansions, Michael’s return, and a powerful Mission Creator, A Safehouse in the Hills looks set to redefine GTA Online’s endgame.
