Halo Studios to Share Major Updates at Halo World Championship 2025

Halo Studios has confirmed that it will reveal more about the future of the franchise later this month. The announcement will take place during the Halo World Championship 2025, which runs from October 24 to 26 in Seattle.

In a post on Halo Waypoint, the Microsoft-owned developer explained that it has planned a special panel for Friday, October 24. The team said it will continue the conversation it started last year with the “A New Dawn” video, adding that this time, fans can expect not only a main stage presentation but also a deeper community-focused panel.

Last year’s Halo World Championship was a turning point for the studio. 343 Industries officially rebranded itself as Halo Studios and confirmed that all future Halo projects would be built on Unreal Engine, leaving behind the Slipspace Engine used in Halo Infinite. A short video showcased Project Foundry, an experimental Unreal Engine demo that gave us a glimpse of what Halo could look like moving forward.

So, what can we expect this October? While Halo Studios hasn’t given away specifics, speculation is running wild. Earlier this year, reports suggested Microsoft was preparing a Halo: Combat Evolved remaster for 2026. With the franchise’s 25th anniversary approaching, many fans believe this could be the perfect time for an official reveal. Others are hoping for news on the next mainline entry, what some are already calling Halo 7.

Beyond the developer panels, fans will be able to watch top-tier esports competition with a $1 million prize pool, join community events, and even show off their best Halo-themed cosplay. Halo Infinite will officially exit the Halo Championship Series (HCS) following the Championship, marking the end of an era for the franchise’s esports ecosystem.
