Helldivers 2’s new Python Commandos Warbond introduces a long-awaited minigun and a full lineup of jungle-themed gear arriving December 2, 2025.
Arrowhead Game Studios is rolling out the jungle-themed Python Commandos Premium Warbond on December 2, bringing new weapons, armor sets, cosmetics, and a heavy dose of action-movie nostalgia. And honestly, if you’ve ever wanted to live out your inner Predator, Rambo, or Terminator fantasy while spreading democracy across the galaxy, this Warbond feels like it was made for you.
The star of the show is undeniably the M-1000 Maxigun, a belt-fed monster with enough ammo to make even the Automatons rethink their life choices. As per the PlayStation Blog post by Arrowhead’s Social Media and Community Manager Katherine Baskin, the Ministry of Defense apparently received “thousands of requests” for it. Now it’s finally here.
New Stratagems and Weapons
Once you dive into Python Commandos, you’ll notice it’s packed with new tools—not just the minigun.
M-1000 Maxigun (Stratagem): Belt-fed, absurd ammo capacity, and designed for pure crowd control. You can’t move while firing, but this thing turns you into a one-person wall of bullets.
AX/FLAM-75 “Guard Dog” Hot Dog (Stratagem): This new drone variant swaps its usual weapon for a flamethrower. It trails behind you, bathing enemies in the “fires of freedom,” according to Arrowhead’s blog description. Once drained, it conveniently returns to your backpack to refuel.
CQC-9 Defoliation Tool (Stratagem): Let’s be honest—this is basically a chainsword. It slices through trees, Terminids, and anything unlucky enough to stand in your way.
AR/GL-21 One-Two (Primary Weapon): A hybrid assault rifle with an underslung grenade launcher. It’s heavy, sure, but you’re essentially getting two weapons in one slot. Arrowhead even explained that it makes your primary loadout “more versatile than ever.”
Predator-Inspired Armor Sets
Python Commandos isn’t just about guns—it’s bringing two new armor sets with some seriously exaggerated action-hero aesthetics.
RS-20 Constrictor (Light Armor): Described as the official uniform of the League of Patriotic Arm Wrestlers, this sleeveless set is made for Helldivers who want their arms to do the talking. It’s all about intimidation, confidence, and… well, biceps.
RS-40 Best of Prey (Heavy Armor): A heavy armor set inspired by legendary Helldiver Ronald Mambo—clearly a playful nod to Rambo. If you’re the player carrying your squad most of the time, this one fits the vibe perfectly.
Both armor sets come with the Rock Solid passive, reducing stagger and ragdoll effects. If you’re planning to stand your ground with a chainsword or spin up the new minigun in a Terminid swarm, that’s going to come in handy.
Capes, Cosmetics, and Extras
Python Commandos also comes with:
Foe Rent Asunder Cape (pre-tattered, worn look)
Mark of the Constrictor Cape (for those who “strangle out anti-democratic behavior”)
Matching player cards, titles, banners
A Chameleon Camo for vehicles and gear
A Front-Leaning Rest Position emote (yes, push-ups on command)

Open Acquisition Center > Warbonds
The Premium Warbond costs 1,000 Super Credits
Super Credits are available through the in-game store (~$10 USD for 1,000)
Once purchased, you unlock items by earning Medals—there’s no expiration date, so no rush
Launch Time Window
December 2, 2025, airdropping to Super Destroyers worldwide. Based on past Warbond releases and community tracking, it should go live between:
2–5 AM PDT (US West Coast)
5–8 AM EDT (US East Coast)
9 AM–12 PM BST (UK)
