Hololive Announces Twitch Debut: Full Talent Lineup for Holoday Revealed

Hololive has officially announced a new partnership with Twitch, with its talents set to stream on the platform for the first time starting next month.

The news was shared directly by Hololive CEO Motoaki Tanigo, better known to fans as “YAGOO,” through a LinkedIn post. He explained that the collaboration is "part of our international expansion", and the debut will be marked by a special event called “Holoday” on November 20, 2025, hosted live on Twitch.

Why Twitch, and Why Now?

According to Tanigo, the decision wasn’t rushed. While some Hololive talents had already been experimenting with Twitch, the company wanted to ensure two things before committing: that the move wouldn’t add unnecessary workload for the streamers, and that the platform could provide a safe environment for them to thrive. Once those conditions were met, the partnership was finalized.

For fans, this doesn’t mean Hololive is leaving YouTube. Instead, it’s about expanding reach. As Tanigo put it, the goal is "increasing the talents' reach so more people can discover them, become fascinated by them, and start supporting them on their journey."

Twitch also has a massive gaming audience that might not have crossed paths with Hololive otherwise.

"Gaming is especially notorious on Twitch, with different types of integrations such as Twitch Drops, among others. I hope that increasing our presence on other platforms will also help with those connections, creating new bonds and enjoyable collaborations with games."

What to Expect on “Holoday”

The debut event is shaping up to be a big one. COVER Corporation, parent company of Hololive Production, confirmed that talents from Hololive English, Hololive Indonesia, and HOLOSTARS English will take over Twitch’s front page for an all‑day celebration. Fans tuning in can also unlock a limited‑time Global Emote featuring none other than YAGOO himself.
