Hytale Early Access Release Date Confirmed

Hypixel Studios has officially announced that Hytale will launch into early access on January 13, 2026, finally giving fans a concrete date after years of uncertainty.

Earlier this year, Riot Games canceled the project, leaving players convinced the sandbox RPG was finished. However, just recently, the game was repurchased by one of its original co-founders, Simon Collins-Laflamme, who took on considerable personal risk to bring it back. Thanks to that move, the game that began development back in 2015 is now set to be playable in just a few weeks.

The official Hytale account shared the release date on social media, fulfilling a promise to reveal it before the end of the week. Pre-orders will open on December 13, 2025, but the team has been very clear: this is “true early access.”

In their announcement, they urged fans not to pre-order unless they felt comfortable with the state of the game. “If you don’t feel comfortable pre-ordering, please don’t. This is true early access, meaning it’s still very much unfinished and will be buggy for a while, but you have the team’s commitment to make Hytale the game we’ve always wanted it to be,” the statement read.

Earlier this week, Hypixel Studios also disclosed the pricing for Hytale. The base edition will cost $19.99, the same price point as Hollow Knight: Silksong. For those who want to support development further, there are two premium options:

• Supporter Edition – $34.99, includes cosmetic extras like capes and hats.

• Cursebreaker Founders Pack – $69.99, offering additional visual items but no gameplay advantages.

The idea is to keep the entry price low while giving fans the option to contribute more if they want to back the project directly.
