Hypixel Studios has officially revealed pricing details for Hytale, marking another big step toward the game’s long-awaited early access release.

The studio confirmed that the early access release date will be announced next week, but before that, fans now know how much they’ll need to spend to jump in. According to a brief post on X (formerly Twitter), the base price of Hytale will be set at $19.99, the same as Hollow Knight: Silksong.
Beyond the standard edition, Hypixel is offering two additional versions. The Supporter Edition is priced at $34.99, while the premium Cursebreaker Founders Pack comes in at $69.99. Both packs are designed to provide cosmetic extras, things like capes, hats, and other visual items, but importantly, they won’t give players any gameplay advantages. Instead, they serve as a way to directly support the development team.
Founder Simon Collins-Laflamme expanded on the pricing strategy in a follow-up post. He explained that the goal was to keep the price “as aggressively low as possible,” even though he had taken “considerable personal risk” in repurchasing the game and funding its development. He admitted the current build is unfinished, running on code from over four years ago, and openly stated, “I don’t think the game is good yet,” but promised the team will “push hard to make it good, then great.”
"Times are tough in the current economy for a lot of you, and I want everyone to have a fair chance to be part of what comes next."
No regional pricing has been announced yet, and details about the packs will be shared in the near future. Pre-orders are expected to open soon, especially with the early access release date reveal just around the corner.
