After years of waiting and months of speculation, Team Cherry has finally confirmed both the price and release times for Hollow Knight: Silksong. With just four days left until launch, fans now have a clear picture of when they can dive into the highly anticipated sequel.
Price Confirmed After Leaks
Following a series of leaks — most notably from GameStop last week — the studio has now set the official price. Silksong will retail at $19.99 in the U.S., €19.99 in Europe, and ¥2300 in Japan.
The pricing confirms what many suspected: despite being one of 2025’s most anticipated games, Team Cherry has avoided the inflated price tags commonly seen in AAA releases, opting instead for a budget-friendly approach.
Global Release Times
Team Cherry also revealed the exact launch schedule, ensuring fans worldwide can plan ahead:
United States: 7 a.m. PT / 10 a.m. ET (September 4)
Central Europe: 4 p.m. CEST (September 4)
Japan: 11 p.m. JST (September 4)
This global rollout means players across regions will be able to jump into Silksong almost simultaneously.
What to Expect from Silksong
Originally announced as a DLC expansion before evolving into a full standalone title, Hollow Knight: Silksong follows Hornet, the former Princess of Hallownest. Captured and taken to the mysterious Kingdom of Pharloom, Hornet must battle her way through a realm woven from silk and song.
According to Team Cherry, the game will feature over 200 enemies and 40 bosses, spread across diverse environments such as “mossy grottos, gilded cities, and misted moors.” Just like its predecessor, players can expect challenging combat, atmospheric exploration, and finely tuned platforming — all core ingredients that made Hollow Knight a global indie phenomenon back in 2017.
Platforms and Game Pass Availability
Silksong will launch across a wide range of platforms, including PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.
In addition, it will be available day one via Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass, making it even more accessible for players eager to jump in.
