KRAFTON has announced plans to release an official ModKit for their life simulation game inZOI in late May 2025 through the Epic Games Store.
The initial ModKit release will provide users with downloadable meshes in FBX format and Json data files for outfit sets and furniture items.
To help creators work with these assets, KRAFTON will simultaneously release official plugins for popular 3D modeling software Maya and Blender.
These plugins will allow modders to incorporate inZOI meshes into their existing workflows before importing them back into the ModKit, where they can be packaged into mod projects using Unreal Engine's plugin format.
The ModKit will feature integration with CurseForge, a popular modding platform. This partnership will enable creators to easily share their creations while giving players a convenient way to browse and download mods directly through an in-game interface.
Looking beyond the initial release, KRAFTON has outlined a comprehensive roadmap for expanding modding capabilities throughout 2025.
According to the published timeline, September will bring support for modding character features like faces and hair, along with building components such as doors, fences, pillars, and windows.
The September update will also introduce tools for creating interaction-based content, including conversation scripts, voice lines, motion animations, and reward systems. A data-based UI editor will give modders more control over the game's interface elements.
By December 2025, KRAFTON plans to expand outfit modding to include most of the "Outfit" category items. Building mode will gain stair creation functionality, and interaction scripting will become more powerful through Blueprint integration.
Localization tools will also debut, allowing creators to make mods available in multiple languages.

KRAFTON has indicated that a formal modding policy will be published on the official inZOI website in mid-May.
Tutorial videos for the ModKit will also be released alongside the May update, helping newcomers learn the basics of inZOI modding and encouraging broader participation in the creative community.
