iQOO SouL has won the Battlegrounds Mobile India Series 2026, claiming the championship title at the Grand Finals held at Chennai Trade Centre from March 27 to 29, 2026.

The team came in as the top seed from the Semifinals and never let go of that position. Across all three days of competition, they led the standings consistently, finishing with the highest cumulative points from 18 matches played across Erangel, Miramar, and Rondo maps.
How the Grand Finals Played Out
BGIS 2026 featured 16 of India's best BGMI teams competing in a straightforward format. The team with the highest total points across all 18 matches wins.
Day 1 saw iQOO SouL top the standings with 66 points, one Chicken Dinner, and 48 combined eliminations. GodLike Esports were right behind with 63 points, keeping things competitive early.
Day 2 is where SouL started pulling away. They pushed their total to 117 points with two Chicken Dinners and 80 eliminations after 12 matches. Genesis Esports sat just three points behind at 114, while GodLike held third with 96 points.
By Day 3, SouL had built enough of a cushion, but Genesis was not done fighting. The final margin between the two teams was the smallest ever recorded in a BGIS Grand Final. The last few matches were essentially a chess match between the two squads, with every rotation and every zone call carrying championship stakes. SouL held their ground and were confirmed as champions when the final numbers came in.
Standout Performances
The Nakul-led roster proved once again why they are considered the gold standard of Indian competitive BGMI. Each player had a role, and each player delivered.
Key individual highlights from the Grand Finals include:
Goblin racked up 25 kills in the first two days alone and took home the Day 1 MVP award with 18 finishes in six matches.
Legit was equally destructive, finishing with 23 kills across the same stretch and was awarded the Grand Finals MVP.
Joker entered the finals as the overall tournament MVP leader with 58 finishes and close to 14,000 damage across the full event.
Nakul, the IGL, earned the Best IGL award for his survival average and his ability to balance aggressive positioning with smart rotations throughout.

What the Win Means
Coach Ayogi had a few words to share after the victory.
"This trophy personally for me is the most emotional trophy that I have won. Back in 2023, I was close to winning BGIS 2023. It felt like there was a lot of regret and a heavy weight on my heart and mind. Then in 2024 we once again came close but it wasn't enough, it did feel like the trophy was just slipping away from me. In 2025 it was quite unfortunate for us as we finished in 15th place but in 2026 we have finally done it. This BGIS 2026 trophy is one trophy that I have no words to describe how does it truly feel winning it."
Team owner MortaL also took to social media to share his pride.
"I have so many things in my heart just like all of you. The celebration feels endless and I just want to say. Im so PROUD OF OUR TEAM. They tried their level best and have been trying ever since. The best team in India, TEAM iQOO SOUL wins the BGIS 2026."
A Record-Breaking Event
Beyond the trophy, BGIS 2026 broke viewership records across the board. Day 2 had already set an all-time high with a peak of 550,000 concurrent viewers on the KRAFTON India Esports YouTube channel. Day 3 went even further, peaking at over 600,000 concurrent viewers as the title race came down to its nail-biting conclusion.
Karan Pathak, Associate Director of Esports at Krafton India, summed it up well.
"Congratulations to iQOO Soul, they were the best team in India across every stage of this competition, and they proved it again today when it mattered most. But if I'm being honest, today everyone won. The players who competed on that stage, the fans who filled the Chennai Trade Centre, the 6,00,000 plus people who were watching live on Day 3, the community that unlocked INR 2 Crore of its own prize pool, this was theirs as much as it was Soul's. BGIS 2026 has shown us what Indian mobile esports looks like when everything comes together."
This was the fifth edition of BGIS, and by most measures, the biggest one yet. iQOO SouL made sure they were at the center of it.
