Lionsgate has confirmed that an AAA John Wick game is currently in development, with an official announcement expected in the near future.

The confirmation came during the studio’s Q2 2026 earnings call, where Adam Fogelson, chairman of the Lionsgate Motion Picture Group, spoke about the company’s growing ambitions in gaming.

The news is a big moment for fans who have long hoped for a proper, high-budget adaptation of the John Wick universe. While the franchise has seen a couple of smaller game releases over the years, none have fully captured the films’ signature blend of stylish gun-fu, precise choreography, and relentless action that turned John Wick into a pop-culture juggernaut.

What makes the announcement even more interesting is that John Wick isn’t the only franchise getting the AAA treatment. According to Fogelson, Lionsgate is also developing a new Saw game, which would be the first entry in that series since Saw II: Flesh & Blood launched back in 2010.

During the earnings call, Fogelson directly addressed the studio’s plans, saying, “Our AAA game opportunities and other gaming opportunities around John Wick and Saw and some others that we’ll be announcing soon, we’re seeing increased interest and increased opportunity, and we remain on schedule.

Naturally, the biggest question right now is what form the John Wick game will take. Will it feature Keanu Reeves reprising his iconic role as the Baba Yaga? Reeves already has gaming experience, having voiced Johnny Silverhand in Cyberpunk 2077. Alternatively, Lionsgate could go the original-story route, letting players step into the shoes of a new assassin operating within the rules of the Continental.

For now, concrete details are thin. There’s no word on which studio is developing the game, which platforms it will target, or whether it will lean toward an open-world structure. Still, the emphasis on it being a full AAA project strongly suggests this won’t be a modest release like John Wick Hex. Lionsgate appears intent on delivering something far more ambitious that truly reflects the franchise’s scale and reputation.
