Korea’s biggest gaming event, G-Star 2025, is set to open its doors on November 13 at Bexco in Busan, running through November 16.

This year, NCsoft, known for the Lineage series and Throne and Liberty, takes center stage as the main sponsor, stepping into the spotlight with the largest booth in the BTC (Business to Consumer) section.

If you’re planning to attend, expect to see plenty of big names. Major Korean publishers like Krafton (PUBG: Battlegrounds and InZoi), Netmarble (Solo Leveling: ARISE), Webzen (MU Online), and Gravity (Ragnarok Online and Requiem: Bloodymare) will all have large booths, and Google Korea will also be making its presence felt.

One notable absence, however, is Nexon (MapleStory, Dungeon & Fighter, The First Berserker: Khazan, and The First Descendant), last year’s main sponsor and the company behind the largest booth in 2024, which won’t be participating this time around.

The festival will be split into two main halls and an outdoor booth area for visitors. For industry professionals, the BTB (Business to Business) program will run from November 13 to 15, offering networking opportunities and closed-door meetings.

Marking its 21st anniversary, G-Star is looking ahead to the next two decades of gaming. “This year’s G-Star acts as an important beginning that will show the path of the upcoming 20 years for the gaming industry,” said Cho Young-ki, president of the G-Star Organizing Committee and the Korea Game Industry Association.

Alongside the main exhibition, the G-Con conference will take place on November 13 and 14, featuring talks from renowned creators. One highlight will be a session with the creator of Square Enix’s legendary Dragon Quest series, among other notable industry figures.

Last year's event drew over 215,000 visitors across four days, the highest turnout since COVID‑19 and well above 2023’s 197,0002. It also set a new record for scale, with 3,359 booths (up from 3,328 the previous year) and 1,375 participating companies from 44 countries.
