League of Legends will welcome its second-ever player to the Hall of Legends this May. This announcement follows last year's induction of Lee "Faker" Sang-hyeok, who became the inaugural member in 2024.

The news came at the conclusion of Riot Games' League of Legends Season 2 development update. Andrei van Roon, Head of League Studio at Riot Games, shared the exciting announcement:

"In May, we'll be celebrating another pro who has made his mark on League. This player will join the Hall of Legends. He has inspired the next generation of upcoming players, and we can't wait to give him the recognition he deserves."

The Hall of Legends program, launched as a partnership between Riot Games and Mercedes-Benz, aims to honor exceptional professional players who have left a lasting impact on the game. The initiative celebrates one player annually for their contributions to the competitive scene.

For Faker's induction ceremony last year, Riot created a special event pass that highlighted his legendary career moments. Players could also purchase Faker-themed cosmetics, including a premium Ahri skin. According to reports, Faker received a custom Mercedes-AMG SL 63 as part of his recognition, along with a share of the revenue from related in-game purchases.

While details about this year's celebration remain forthcoming, fans can expect similar special events and items.

The selection process involves a panel of judges from regional leagues and the broader esports community, who evaluate candidates based on their achievements, titles, and overall contributions to League of Legends.
