Lies of P Franchise Crosses 4 Million Copies Sold Worldwide

Lies of P has officially crossed the 4 million copies sold mark, with publisher Neowiz and developer Round8 Studio confirming the milestone for the "franchise".

Back in June 2025, the team celebrated hitting the 3 million sales milestone. Now, less than a year later, they have added another million units to that count.

That 4 million figure combined total for both the base game and the Overture DLC.

"Reaching this milestone is an incredibly meaningful moment for the Lies of P team," said a Neowiz spokesperson. "The enthusiasm and passion the global community has shown for this title continues to inspire us, and we're grateful to see players around the world discover and embrace our dark, reimagined take on Pinocchio's story."

Launched in September 2023, Lies of P is a single-player action RPG built in the Soulslike genre. The game is set in the late 19th-century Belle Epoque era and draws from the classic Italian tale of Pinocchio, reimagining it in a darker, grittier light.

It received a strong critical reception upon release (Metacritic: 80) and has since been recognized as one of the standout Soulslike titles of recent years.

The franchise expanded with Lies of P: Overture, released in June 2025. The DLC serves as a dramatic prequel, taking players back to the city of Krat during its final days of Belle Epoque splendor. It introduces new weapon combinations and Legion Arms, giving players more freedom to experiment with their combat styles. The expansion also digs into untold stories and secrets that connect the past and future of the Lies of P world.

The DLC has earned considerable recognition from critics (Metacritic: 85) and industry bodies alike. It picked up awards including Best DLC at the 15th New York Game Awards, Best Game Expansion at the Golden Joystick Awards, Best DLC or Expansion from the Lenovo 3DJuegos Awards, Best Expansion from the Flow Games Awards, and the Excellence and Technical Creativity Award from the Korea Game Awards.

Lies of P is currently available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC via Steam.
