Bandai Namco is set to host a standalone presentation for Little Nightmares III on June 24 at 12 PM PDT (3 PM EDT / June 25 at 12:30 AM IST), giving the long-awaited horror sequel its own time in the spotlight.

This event marks the first dedicated update on the game in quite some time. Little Nightmares III was initially revealed during Gamescom Opening Night Live back in August 2023, with a 2024 release window. However, in early 2024, Bandai Namco confirmed a delay, pushing the launch to 2025 to ensure the game meets quality expectations. Since then, fans have only had an eerie story trailer released in October 2024 to chew on—highlighting the game’s haunting aesthetic and introducing the addition of online co-op gameplay.

With this upcoming showcase, expectations are rising for fresh details, possibly even a confirmed release date or a new gameplay demo.

What’s drawing even more attention is the fact that Bandai Namco chose to present the game in a standalone event, rather than slotting it into bigger summer gaming festivals like Summer Game Fest. That move hints the publisher sees major potential here—enough to warrant its own stage.

Another notable shift with this installment is the development team behind it. The first two games were created by Tarsier Studios, but they stepped away from the franchise after being acquired by the Embracer Group in 2019. Now, the reins have been handed over to Supermassive Games, the team known for interactive horror experiences like Until Dawn, The Quarry, and The Dark Pictures Anthology. Supermassive had already worked on the enhanced edition of Little Nightmares II, so they're not entirely new to the world of eerie storytelling and tense atmosphere.

This third entry introduces two new protagonistsLow, who wears a raven mask, and Alone, identified by her pigtails. Together, they’ll try to navigate through the twisted realm of “The Nowhere,” specifically within an area called The Spiral, filled with bizarre, terrifying environments. Players can tackle the game solo with an AI partner or experience the journey with a friend online, thanks to the newly added co-op mode—an exciting first for the series.

With the showcase just around the corner, fans won’t have to wait long to see what horrors await in Little Nightmares III.

While specific streaming platforms haven’t been explicitly confirmed, you expect the showcase to be available on major platforms: Bandai Namco’s official YouTube channel (Europe or America), Twitch, and on X (@LittleNights or @BandaiNamcoUS).
