The update begins with scheduled maintenance at 9:00 AM UTC and is expected to last around two hours. During this period, servers will be offline, meaning players won’t be able to log in until the patch is complete. Timings vary across regions, as follows:

The headline addition is Rogue, who finally joins the roster as a melee-focused Vanguard hero. Known for her disruptive playstyle, Rogue thrives in chaotic team fights, leaping onto enemies, stealing abilities, and draining ultimate energy. She can even copy signature powers from heroes like Doctor Strange and Loki, making her one of the most versatile additions yet. Her ultimate is designed to shut down stacked enemy formations, preventing devastating combos before they happen.


Alongside Rogue, new team-up abilities are being introduced to shake up synergies. Emma Frost and Luna Snow now share “Chilling Assault,” which creates a diamond ice wall and slows enemies. Psylocke teams with Cloak & Dagger for “Sword of Duality,” offering both healing and damage depending on light or dark mode. Rogue also pairs with Gambit in “Explosive Entanglement,” absorbing his kinetic energy to unleash area damage while sustaining herself in battle.


Balance changes are extensive, touching nearly every role. Buffed heroes include Emma Frost, Thor, Phoenix, Scarlet Witch, The Thing, Loki, Luna Snow, and Ultron, all receiving improvements to health, damage, or ability performance. On the other side, nerfed heroes include Peni Parker, Blade, Psylocke, Gambit, Invisible Woman, and Rocket Raccoon, who see reductions in health, healing, or increased ultimate costs. A few heroes like Human Torch, Daredevil, and Wolverine received mixed adjustments, with both buffs and tweaks to existing abilities.


Season 5.5 continues the narrative arc involving Gambit, Rogue, and the Collector, while setting the stage for more mid-season surprises.
