MindsEye Release Date, Start Times, Editions & Price Details

MindsEye

After years of anticipation, MindsEye is finally hitting shelves. Developed by Build A Rocket Boy, the studio formed by former Rockstar Games president Leslie Benzies, MindsEye is set to launch on June 10, 2025 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.

Here's a full breakdown of everything we know about the release schedule and editions for this blockbuster title.

What Is MindsEye About?

MindsEye is a single-player, story-driven action-adventure set in a near-future version of America. The game explores themes like AI, corporate espionage, and political corruption, while delivering explosive third-person combat, cinematic storytelling, and high-speed vehicle sequences.

Players step into the role of Jacob Diaz, a former soldier suffering from memory loss due to a mysterious neural implant. Your mission? Discover the truth about your past in the sprawling fictional city of Redrock.

Gameplay & Development Background

MindsEye closely mirrors the gameplay DNA of Grand Theft Auto, which isn’t surprising considering Leslie Benzies produced several Rockstar classics including GTA V, Red Dead Redemption, and Max Payne 3. The game blends open-world driving, cinematic cutscenes, and third-person gunplay into a fast-paced narrative journey lasting around 15 hours.

Interestingly, the game is also backed by IO Interactive (the studio behind the Hitman franchise), adding more AAA polish to the development.

Built on Unreal Engine 5, MindsEye takes full advantage of modern hardware with support for DLSS 4 on PC. Expect visually striking environments and high system requirements.

Controversy and Hype

On May 27, a gameplay overview trailer dropped, receiving mixed feedback. Mark Gerhard, co-CEO of Build A Rocket Boy, defended the project, hinting that negative comments may have been orchestrated, potentially by former rival Rockstar Games, though he stopped short of naming names.
