Mortal Kombat Legacy Kollection has officially revealed its complete lineup of games during Gamescom 2025, confirming that fans will be getting a total of 11 classic titles remastered for modern platforms.
The collection covers the franchise’s history from the very first Mortal Kombat released in 1992 all the way to 2003’s Mortal Kombat: Tournament Edition.
For longtime followers of the series, this announcement feels like a trip down memory lane. Mortal Kombat has been running strong for more than three decades, but playing the early titles on current consoles has been tricky until now. With Legacy Kollection, the experience is being refreshed with improved visuals, smoother controls, and a single hub to revisit multiple fan-favorite entries.
According to the official Gamescom trailer, here’s the complete roster of games included in the Legacy Kollection:
Mortal Kombat (1992)
Mortal Kombat II (1993)
Mortal Kombat 3 (1995)
Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 (1995)
Mortal Kombat Trilogy (1996)
Mortal Kombat 4 (1997)
Mortal Kombat Mythologies: Sub-Zero (1997)
Mortal Kombat Special Forces (2000)
Mortal Kombat Advance (2001)
Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance (2002)
Mortal Kombat: Tournament Edition (2003)
What makes this lineup stand out is the inclusion of rare spin-offs like Mortal Kombat Mythologies: Sub-Zero and Mortal Kombat Special Forces. These titles were hard to find on original hardware, so their return gives fans a chance to explore some of the lesser-known corners of the series.
As of now, no official release date has been confirmed, but the Kollection is scheduled for 2025. Interestingly, a leaked Xbox store listing suggests September 29, 2025, could be the launch date. Whenever it lands, it’s coming to Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One.
Editions and Pricing
Warner Bros. is giving fans three options when it comes to editions.

Deluxe Edition ($69.99–$79.99 depending on platform) – Focused on physical collectibles such as a Steelbook case and mini marquees. However, this edition skips Xbox Series X|S.
Kollector’s Edition ($149.99) – Exclusive to Limited Run Games, this premium version includes several unique items, the highlight being a Goro statue designed to hold a controller. Pre-orders for this version close on August 31, 2025, making it a true collector’s item.
All editions will also feature a pre-order bonus slipcase with customizable designs based on iconic fighters like Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Reptile, and Smoke.
