Mutant Football League 2 is officially set to launch on December 10, 2025, for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.

Developed by Digital Dreams Entertainment, the sequel to the cult-hit 2017 Mutant Football League promises an outrageous, arcade-style sports experience that proudly embraces its “anti-Madden” identity.
The game, led by creative director Michael Mendheim—the mind behind EA’s Mutant League Football and Mutant League Hockey from the 1990s—has been in Early Access since May 2024 on PC and January 2025 on Xbox Series.
Now, it’s ready for a full release, priced at $29.99. Early Access players who jumped in earlier paid $24.99, but the final version brings expanded content, polished features, and plenty of chaos.

The official launch is rolling out globally at 13:00 UTC. Here’s how that translates across major time zones:
New York (EST): 7:30 AM
Los Angeles (PST): 4:30 AM
London (GMT): 1:30 PM
Paris/Berlin/Rome (CET): 2:30 PM
Tokyo (JST): 10:30 PM
Sydney (AEDT): 12:30 AM (Dec. 11)
Features and Gameplay
Mutant Football League 2 builds on the foundation of its predecessor while dialing up the chaos. Here’s what players can expect:
Arcade-Style Action: Eight-on-eight football matches where teams battle not only opponents but trap-filled arenas. Expect buzzsaws, mutant worms, and explosive hazards.
Season & Franchise Modes: Solo players can enjoy structured campaigns, while online PvP keeps the competition fierce.
Team Customization: Over 36 mutant-inspired teams, including parodies of real-world NFL franchises, plus the ability to create your own squad.
Mutantmaxxing: Upgrade players with new armor, mutations, and weapons like chainsaws and shotguns. SkillRoid boosts add special abilities mid-game.
Doom Field Designer: Build your own stadium with lethal traps and weather effects, turning home advantage into a nightmare for visiting teams.
Dynasty Supreme Mode: Draft rookies, train them, and climb the ranks to win Mayhem Bowls across multiple seasons.
Bloody Sunday Chaos: Expect exploding limbs, horrific deaths, and Dirty Trick plays that break every rule of football.
Legendary Commentary: Tim Kitzrow, the voice behind NBA Jam and NFL Blitz, returns to deliver hilarious play-by-play smack talk.
Michael Mendheim described the project as his “bastard child” that has been resurrected for a new generation, emphasizing its fun, unpredictable nature. According to Digital Dreams Entertainment, the game blends accessibility with depth, making it easy to pick up but layered enough for strategy fans.
