A new wave of Grand Theft Auto 6 leaks has surfaced online thanks to a reliable insider known as GameRoll, who accurately revealed Jason and Lucia’s surnames weeks ahead of Rockstar’s official Trailer 2. The new information provides an exciting glimpse into what could be the most ambitious GTA game to date.
Dual Freeroam with Jason and Lucia
Unlike GTA 5, where players could switch between characters but not explore the world with them simultaneously, GTA 6 will reportedly allow Jason and Lucia to roam together. According to GameRoll, players can choose between solo Jason, solo Lucia, or a dual control mode, enabling coordinated heists or open-world exploration with both characters at once.
Over 700 Stores and Malls to Rob
One of the biggest gameplay changes involves the increased number of enterable buildings. The leak claims GTA 6 will feature over 700 shops and malls that players can explore and rob, massively expanding the interactivity of the open world. Though house burglaries have reportedly been cut, large indoor locations like malls and skyscrapers (complete with elevators) will play a key role.
Story & Game Structure
GameRoll’s source claims that GTA 6 will follow a five-chapter structure, similar to RDR2, with all scenes from Trailer 2 being from Chapters 1–3. Lucia is also said to have a child, but this won’t play a major story role.
Additionally, a character named Donnie, a “freak” friend of Jason, will be introduced, along with Jason’s pet iguana, seen briefly in Trailer 2
Other gameplay mechanics include:
A 6-star wanted level system
A relationship bar akin to the honor system in RDR2
Weight mechanics that change your character’s appearance or mobility
Gore and dismemberment improved from RDR2
Underwater exploration with hidden treasure
Male strippers confirmed, expanding on past adult content
A speargun mission where you shoot a shark
Lucia wears an ankle monitor early on, but it gets removed
NPC reactions to players drawing their weapons
Greet/antagonize system from RDR2 returns for deeper NPC interactions
Special Abilities and Inventory System
Both protagonists have unique abilities:
Jason: Slow-motion "Deadeye" targeting of weak points, reflecting his military background.
Lucia: A powerful slow-motion single-shot ability.
The limited weapon system from RDR2 also returns. Players can carry a small selection of weapons, while additional gear can be stored in vehicle trunks, adding a layer of strategy to combat preparation.
GTA 6 Map and Cities
The game is set on a massive island with no panhandle. Confirmed cities include:
Vice City – the largest urban area in the game
Ambrosia and Port Gellhorn – also expansive regions
Enterable malls, shopping districts, and skyscrapers suggest a deeper focus on vertical exploration and indoor environments than any previous GTA title.
What’s Not in GTA 6?
According to GameRoll, several previously rumored features were cut or were never part of development:
No Disney World parody
No prone crawling
No burglary mini-game
No dual-wielded guns
No listening to music outside of vehicles
No fully nude sex scenes
GTA 6 Release Date
GTA 6 is officially scheduled for release on May 26, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, with a PC version likely to follow at a later date.
