Nina Lin, a controversial IRL streamer, has reportedly been permanently banned from Twitch after a string of suspensions in recent weeks.
On December 17, 2025, users visiting her channel were met with the “currently unavailable” message, a notice that typically signals an indefinite suspension. The wording is similar to what appeared during the bans of high-profile streamers like Dr Disrespect and Destiny, leading many to believe Lin’s removal is permanent.
Twitch has yet to issue an official statement, leaving speculation to dominate online discussions.
Lin herself quickly pushed back against the claims on Instagram. “Ain’t no way MFs making sh*t up now,” she wrote, accusing critics of being “obsessed” with her and promising a return. She even teased the idea of producing a comeback trailer.
In another post, she added, “Wait till I’m back. Can’t wait for them to be mad,” while encouraging fans to send her posts about the alleged permaban.
This marks the fourth suspension of her channel in just nine weeks. The most recent ban, on December 2, was tied to violations of "Twitch’s community guidelines and terms of service." That suspension followed a viral incident from November 29, when a clip from her IRL stream showed her at a Target self-checkout. In the video, Lin appeared to scan only butter while placing an unscanned pack of steak in her bag. Viewers accused her of shoplifting or “barcode switching.”
When confronted online, Lin refused to apologize. Instead, she dismissed the criticism, saying Target “isn’t losing money” and taunting detractors with “get mad” and “happy holidays.” The clip spread widely across X, Reddit, and TikTok, fueling renewed calls for Twitch to take action.
Her controversies extend beyond the Target incident. In October, resurfaced clips from older streams showed Lin, sometimes alongside collaborator Zoe Spencer, engaging in physical interactions with FaZe Silky's assistant "Said" and streamer Disguised Toast, that left them visibly uncomfortable. Those moments sparked debates about double standards in streaming, particularly around how male victims are treated. Lin issued an apology, but criticism persisted, with streamers such as Asmongold and Valkyrae openly questioning Twitch’s handling of the situation.
Reacting to the latest ban, Asmongold expressed relief and urged platforms to take stronger action against “nuisance streamers.” He argued that creators who harass random people for content should be permanently banned before real-world harm occurs.
“If something bad does happen, then it’s too late,” he said.
