The indie co-op climbing game Peak has officially hit another milestone, selling over 2 million copies just 9 days after its launch.

With memes, TikToks, Twitch clips, and plenty of “Bing Bong” jokes flooding the internet, it’s safe to say Peak has struck a chord with its audience—and the devs are loving every second of it.

The developers—Landfall and Aggro Crab—shared the news with a heartfelt (and very on-brand) announcement, thanking fans for their overwhelming support and giving a glimpse into what’s coming next.

While there’s no detailed roadmap just yet, the team confirmed that updates are in the works. They’re focusing on fixing bugs and improving stability before diving into major content additions.

According to the announcement, the developers have been collecting community feedback since launch and plan to explore everything from quality-of-life improvements to new content and fun additions they originally wanted to include. However, with both studios juggling other projects—and neither being traditional live service teams—they’re keeping expectations realistic. In their words: “The last thing we want to do is promise any features that we can’t make a reality.”

One feature that is officially confirmed is localization support, which will help expand the game’s accessibility to players around the world. That update is currently in progress, though a release date hasn’t been given.

In addition to game updates, there’s another fun surprise—merchandise is on the way. The developers admitted that they hadn’t initially planned to make merch, but the community’s enthusiasm has sparked some creative brainstorming behind the scenes. No specific items have been announced yet, but fans can expect more news soon.

On the technical side, the devs are continuing to tackle various issues that players have reported, especially around disconnections, crashes, mic/audio bugs, and performance optimization. A recent update addressed problems for AMD users, and more fixes are on the way. The team emphasized that they’re still small and are taking their time to get things right—while also remembering to celebrate the game’s success and take care of themselves.

Players experiencing problems can reach out through the official Peak Discord or email the team directly at peak@landfall.se.

For a game that started as a small jam project and sold for just $5, Peak is proving that a fun concept, solid execution, and some accidental meme magic can take an indie title to great heights.
