Marvel Rivals' upcoming Season 3 has been partially confirmed ahead of schedule, thanks to a Twitch blog post that unintentionally revealed two highly anticipated characters: Phoenix and Blade.

The leak came from a Twitch blog outlining its summer promotions and drop campaigns. In the post, it states, "Phoenix and Blade ignite the action in Marvel Rivals Season 3: The Abyss Awaken." This line essentially removes all doubt about the next additions to the hero roster. While dataminers and fans had already suspected these characters would join soon, this appears to be the first solid confirmation — and not from NetEase themselves.

For context, both Blade and Phoenix (Jean Grey) had been spotted in earlier datamines, and some in-game teasers already hinted at Blade’s imminent arrival. But without official word, it remained speculation until now. The blog also teased "sizzling summer events" and "Venomized costumes," pointing to themed cosmetics and possibly even swimsuit skins — something that has already generated buzz in the community.

Interestingly, Marvel itself is leaning into the summer theme this year. A Marvel Swimsuit Special comic was announced earlier, which features designs that are expected to translate into in-game skins for Marvel Rivals. That means the upcoming season might be packed with more than just new heroes — players can likely expect summer-flavored cosmetics and Twitch-exclusive content.

Season 3, titled The Abyss Awaken, is expected to begin on July 11, although NetEase has yet to make a formal announcement. Given the nature of the leak, fans likely won’t have to wait long for an official reveal and a deeper look at the new content.
