Xbox-Published Games Dominate PlayStation’s July 2025 Download Charts

PlayStation has revealed the list of most downloaded games in July 2025 for PS5.


Microsoft’s titles like Forza Horizon 5, Minecraft, and Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 secured high spots in both U.S. and European charts.


As per the official PlayStation Blog, Forza Horizon 5 — once an Xbox exclusive — ranked fifth in the EU and 10th in the U.S. The racer’s recent PS5 port and fresh expansion content have clearly fueled renewed interest.


Meanwhile, Minecraft continues its evergreen run, holding steady in the top 10 across both territories.


Other notable Xbox-affiliated appearances include Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, and REMATCH, with the latter taking an impressive third place in the EU despite being 12th in the U.S.


Interestingly, only one major PlayStation Studios title, Death Stranding 2: On The Beach, managed to break into the top 10 in both markets — a reflection of Sony’s relatively quiet first-party lineup in 2025.


College Football 26, which launched July 7, took the top spot on the PS5 charts in the U.S. In the EU, tactical shooter Ready or Not claimed first place and came second in the U.S.


REMATCH’s strong EU performance was among the month’s biggest surprises, while Grand Theft Auto V, NBA 2K25, and EA Sports FC 25 maintained their usual dominance.

For PS4, Red Dead Redemption 2 topped downloads in both regions, proving its staying power years after release. On the free-to-play side, Fortnite remained the undisputed leader.
