Titles Breakdown
Battlefield 2042 is a first-person shooter by DICE that returns to the franchise’s signature large-scale warfare, set in a near-futuristic world ravaged by disorder. Supporting up to 128 players on PS5, it features dynamic battlefields with modes like Conquest, Breakthrough, and the innovative Battlefield Portal, where players can create and share custom battles blending past and present Battlefield eras. Class-based gameplay and a cutting-edge arsenal allow for diverse playstyles, from intense close-quarters combat to sprawling all-out war. Despite a rocky launch, updates have refined the experience, and it joins the PlayStation Plus Extra catalog in June 2025, though many Essential tier subscribers may already own it from a 2023 promotion.
Five Nights at Freddy’s: Help Wanted 2 is a VR survival horror game developed by Steel Wool Studios, serving as the tenth mainline installment in the Five Nights at Freddy’s series. Released on December 14, 2023, it takes place between Security Breach and its RUIN DLC, following the final human employee at Freddy Fazbear’s Mega Pizzaplex, heavily implied to be Cassie’s father. Players tackle 40 minigames across categories like backstage prep with Roxanne Wolf, arcade games like Bonk-a-Bon and Fazerblast, food service, and first aid, alongside VR recreations of Sister Location scenarios like Ballora Gallery and Breaker Room. With dynamic gameplay, multiple endings tied to the Glitchtrap narrative, and a free Secret of the Mimic update in December 2024, it offers immersive scares and deep lore, earning a 94% positive rating on Steam. It joins PlayStation Plus Extra in June 2025.
theHunter: Call of the Wild is a realistic open-world hunting simulator that immerses players in stunning, meticulously crafted environments teeming with diverse wildlife. From jackrabbits to moose, animals exhibit complex behaviors influenced by dynamic weather, day-night cycles, and wind-carried scents. Players select from a range of weapons and equipment to track, lure, and hunt prey, requiring strategic planning based on each species’ unique traits. Solo and multiplayer modes offer flexibility, while regular community-driven updates keep the experience fresh. Joining the PlayStation Plus Extra catalog in June 2025, it appeals to those seeking a contemplative yet thrilling outdoor adventure.
We Love Katamari Reroll + Royal Reverie is a remastered version of the 2005 cult classic We Love Katamari Damacy, blending quirky puzzle-action with vibrant visuals. Players control the Prince, rolling a katamari—a sticky ball that grows by collecting objects from paper clips to buildings and even people—to rebuild stars accidentally destroyed by the King of All Cosmos. Strategic planning is key, as only items smaller than the katamari can be absorbed. The Royal Reverie expansion adds new levels where players control the young King, alongside updated graphics and UI. Available on PlayStation Plus Extra in June 2025, it’s a whimsical must-play.
Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes is a turn-based JRPG developed by veterans of the Suikoden series, offering a modern take on classic genre tropes. Set in the war-torn land of Allraan, it follows Nowa and Seign, two friends from opposing sides of a conflict fueled by the Galdean Empire’s quest for magical rune lenses. Boasting over 100 recruitable characters with unique stories and voiced dialogue, the game features strategic battles, Hero Combos, and a War Mode for commanding units. Funded by a record-breaking 2020 Kickstarter, it joins PlayStation Plus Extra in June 2025, appealing to RPG fans craving nostalgia and depth.
Train Sim World 5 is the ultimate railway simulator, letting players master iconic trains and routes across three new detailed environments: the West Coast Main Line (Northwestern Class 350), Kinzigtalbahn (DB BR 411 ICE-T), and San Bernardino Line (Metrolink’s MP36 & F125). Players tackle commuter chaos, navigate twisting tracks, or soak in sunlit scenery while managing realistic train operations. New challenges and roles deepen the immersive hobbyist experience, with dynamic weather and schedules adding realism. Available on PlayStation Plus Extra in June 2025, it’s a relaxing yet engaging choice for simulation enthusiasts seeking precision and variety.
Endless Dungeon is a roguelite blend of tactical action, tower defense, and real-time combat set in the Endless universe. Players, solo or with up to two friends, guide a crystal-carrying robot through a procedurally generated abandoned space station, battling waves of enemies. Each run offers new strategies, with diverse characters, weapons, and turret builds encouraging experimentation. The goal is to reach the station’s core, learning from each death to refine tactics. Its cooperative focus and replayability make it a compelling addition to the PlayStation Plus Extra catalog in June 2025, ideal for strategy and action fans.
Deus Ex: The Conspiracy is the PS2 port of the seminal 2000 PC cyberpunk RPG, now emulated for PS4 and PS5 via PlayStation Plus Premium in June 2025. Set in a dystopian 2052, players control JC Denton, a nano-augmented agent uncovering a global conspiracy amid terrorism, economic collapse, and societal decay. Blending action-RPG, stealth, and FPS elements, it offers player-driven choices that shape the narrative and gameplay, from hacking systems to stealth takedowns or all-out combat. Though the PS2 version is less polished than the PC original, its groundbreaking depth and story remain iconic for immersive sim fans.

Don’t forget: All new titles go live on Tuesday, June 17, 2025. Make sure your PlayStation Plus Extra or Premium membership is active, and keep an eye on your Game Catalog tab.
